Transport Canada, as per their email, are requiring paddlers to do one of the following for the Kalamalka Crossing and Rail Trail Recreational Race.

1. Wear a Canadian Coast Guard Approved PFD equipped with a Whistle
2. Attach a PFD to the board with a Whistle and buoyant heaving line.
3. Leashes are required for the Kalamalka Crossing

Saturday, September 2 – 8th Annual Kalamalka Classic
7:00-8:00am Late Registration / Check in no later than 8:00am At the Beach in Oyama
8:00am Kalamalka Crossing 8  See below
1:00pm Kieki Holo Kids Race
2:00pm Special Event – To be announced and you’re gonna like it!
5:00pm Saturday Night Live at Kalamalka Beach.

6:30am- Breakfast and Coffees available at Rail Trail Cafe’

7:00-8:00am Last Minute Registration / Check In – No later than 8:00am No later than 8am
8:00am Pre-Race Meeting at Start line in Oyama (Wood Lake Beach) *All athletes must attend* Mandatory
8:30am Start for all 12’ & Under Surfboard style, Inflatable, Relay, Junior & Prone
9:20am Start for Open Classes 12’6 & 14’ Women @9:15am/Men @9:25am
9:30am Start for King & Queen (Competitive)
Women @9:30am/Men @9:35am
12:00pm Kids Race followed by Special Event
Need a Lift to Oyama for the Crossing?
6:00-7:30am Shuttle Service from shop available between 6:00-7:30am
Register on Saturday
Last shuttle leaves at 7:30am
